Silas (Purrs, #1) by Candi Kay

Good golly but this was cute. Like over abundantly cute. But also semi dark in places, but those were few and far between.

Spoilers ahead

In here we have Stu, a young banker who we meet when he is getting stood up on a date. His brother Kei (apparently his story is happening at the same time?) picks up his drunk tush and takes him to Purrs, which is run by cat shifters.

For some odd reason, we are supposed to know about Kei and Indigo being into each other.

Side note, this whole all the stories happening at the same time thing doesn't work well when the other stories are not available.

Anyways, Stu meets Silas, the brother of Indigo and has an instalove reaction to him, but is told that because he is wearing a collar, he is taken. There are a lot of "wink wink" setups in here to make sure you get that Silas and Si, Stu's cat are the same being. Stu has had this cat for over a year, yet didn't know he was a shifter.

So things happen and all of a sudden Stu knows that Si/Silas are the same being and after googling, figures out cat shifters are real.

Y'all know what happens, they admit everything and hook up at 90%.

And there lies why I was kind of disappointed with this one. I liked the cat shifter living with his fated mate, I bought that with no issues. What I had problems with was the lack of any communication between the main mcs. I mean there were talks with Stus brother, Silas' dad, sister, and all that, but none between these two until 80% into the story.

I need to see some interaction between them.

Over all, this is cute. And if the other book is released, I will read it to see how Stus brother is getting his hea with Silas' brother.
