Audiobook Review

Ok so, as you noticed, we finally have the first audio of the monstrous series and it was good.

If you have not read the ebook, this story is about Danny, a human who hates being in the army, and Wyn, a monster/creature/alien who came over when the openings between the worlds happened.

Wyn is a hunter of parasites that live inside humans so most people call him the soul eater, thinking he kills for fun. Danny was on the field after yet another try at capturing Wyn. This was an instamate situation.

After walking and more walking, and even more walking, they actually fall in love and are happy until Danny gets captured by the army and Wyn decides that to keep Danny safe he had to take him to a raider camp. After getting scolded by Danny, Wyn learns that Danny is not as soft as he believes.

They declare their love and continue on walking across the US.

The narration was my only complaint about this. Michael Lesley did a good job, except that the voice used for Danny made him sound like an old guy who had seen some stuff in his life. Or had really bad damaged vocal cords. Southern accents are hard to make sound like the region they are from so that was fine.

Wyns voice was fine, though I would have loved some sort of sound effect for him as that's how it was described in the book.

Edin's voice was also fine but his voices for the other side characters was done really well. Especially the monsters who show up and go after Danny.
