In this one, which ends in a cliffhanger, because of course it does, we have Dom who is the prince of his mafia family and Luca, an innocent dude going to school at Yale to be a doctor.

Dom kidnaps Luca due to a long planned downfall of the rival family. Luca does not know about any of this and is shocked at finding out that he was the son of the rival family. The plan is to kill Luca just for being born as something bad happened in the past and this will be payback.

Due to the kidnapping, Dom is stuck in the penthouse of the casino with Luca. Which is bad cause Dom is gay but not out. Luca is out and proud. They both want to get up and personal with each other. We get one bj and one sex scene before the totally not surprising ending scene. And since this is my blog, I can say that omg, the sexytimes were absolutely grand, there just was not enough of it for me. This seemed like such a short first book for such dark going ons. 

While I can suspend my belief for a lot of things but having a high speed chase and shoot out on the FDR, speeding anywhere in NYC and the casino with dungeons in time square did me in. I lived there, no matter who you are, there's gonna be a cop showing up instantly, especially in Times Square.

Now I have to wait until the next book I guess to get a HEA.
