Audiobook review

I'm not going to lie, the first 40% of this book was great, then after that it became different. I think if there were dual POV it may have been different. CW - This is a dark book and there is a casual mention of child sexual abuse that happened to Cold, so keep that in mind.

In this one, Jimmy is 26 but acts really young. He has basically given up his life to try to prove his dad was innocent and to get him out of prison.

Cold is a mob boss who was heavily scarred and has issues with trusting others.

Cold offers Jimmy a prostitution deal to work off the hundreds of thousands he owes to Cold. Within 2 days, Jimmy already loves Cold. Their interactions from then on are kind of fsog-like with slight kink (really though, in a dark story we get kink that is not all that kinky) with Jimmy trying to convince Cold to love him.

Mob things happen and all the loose ends get tied up in a bow, and they get their HFN.

The narrator was new to me, but was great. They were able to get me past some of the not so smooth sections to make it to the end.
